TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Police and Transportation Office will reroute traffic around Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in South Jakarta for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) rally.
Jakarta Police will today question the FPI Grand Imam Rizieq Shihab for accusing Bank Indonesia (BI) of printing the communist hammer and sickle symbol on rupiah new banknotes.
“We will secure the assembly point. Some 2000 people will join the rally,” Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono told Tempo on Monday, January 23, 2017.
Jakarta Transportation Office director Andri Yansyah said that traffic will be rerouted.
1. Northbound traffic heading from Cawang to Jalan Sudirman in Semanggi is being rerouted onto Jalan Gatoto Subroto - Skat 2 - Jalan Gerbang Pemuda - Asia Afrika - Pakubowono - CSW – Blok M and so forth.
2. Eastbound traffic heading from HI Roundabout to Jakarta Metro Police HQ in Semanggi is being rerouted onto Jalan Gatot Subroto - Kuningan intersection, right turn to Mampang - Jalan Tandean and so forth or be rerouted onto Semanggi overpass - Gatot Subroto - Skat 2 - Jalan Gerbang Pemuda - Asia Afrika - Pakubuwono - CSW - Blok M and so forth.
3. Southbound traffic heading from Slipi to Jalan Sudirman (in front of Jakarta Police HQ) in Semanggi is being rerouted straight onto Kuningan intersection (Ende 3) to Mampang - Jalan Tendean - W. Monginsidi - Blok M and so forth.
4. Westbound traffic heading from Blok M to Semanggi must turn left to Gate IX of Senayan - Asia Afrika - Jalan Gerbang Pemuda - Farmasi fly over - Gatot Subroto - Semanggi, then left turn to Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin or in Semanggi straight to Kuningan - Jalan Rasuna Said and so forth.
