TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - At least two people in yet another deadly accident in Cipali Toll Road in West Java province.
The accident began when a Sinar Jaya bus hit the back of a truck at kilometer 124 located in Sanca village, Indramayu Regency, West Java. The dead victims were onboard the Sinar Jaya bus and they were identified as Indra (28) and Hendra Irawan (29).
"The accident happened on Sunday at 9 am and two people were killed in the accident,” said Asep Nugraha, Head of Traffic Division of Indramayu Police on Sunday.
Asep added that that the accident also left one person severely injured and several others had to sustain minor injuries.
"It was alleged that the accident happened when Lukman Nur Hakim, the driver of the bus, was trying to overtake other vehicles from the left side and it was not safe for him to overtake,” Asep said, adding that when the bus was overtaking, it hit the back of a truck.
